2016 was a fantastic year in McLaren Vale, especially for Grenache. This wine shows the Grenache characters of both the Blewitt Springs and McLaren Flat of Bright lifted and intense floral aromatics in the blue and red fruit spectrum, the texture and richness from the lees ageing and oak maturation harnessed with fine sandy tannins that reflect the soil of the vineyard. Excellent food match with Sichuan Beef with Ginger- Soy Greens

“A very different vintage to the '17, this right in the mainstream of the resurrection of grenache from its days as purveyor of large amounts of fodder for fortified winemaking. It was a ripe year, but the wine hasn't lost its shape.”

“A lively, spicy raspberry style with an interesting earthy touch. The palate is dry, balanced and persistent.”
